business high school

Vocational high school, business

Your path to high school and college.

How do I become a student at the Wirtschaftsgymnasium? If you have a qualified secondary school leaving certificate I (middle school) or an equivalent degree with an average grade of at least 3.0, you can register for the Wirtschaftsgymnasium. None of the subjects German, English and Mathematics may be rated lower than 4. The average grade is calculated as the arithmetic mean of the grades in the compulsory and elective subjects. You can also register if you have been promoted to the 11th grade at a grammar school, you have the right to transition to the upper level of a grammar school at an integrated comprehensive school or you have obtained a qualified secondary qualification I in connection with vocational training. What do I get from the business grammar school ?By attending the business high school, you can acquire your general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur). OK, you can do that at any other high school too. With us, however, you have the advantage of a professional focus. As an advanced course, you will take business administration and two other general subjects. If you start studying economics after the business high school, the previous knowledge brings you many advantages. How does the business high school work? You attend the business high school for three years, grades 11 to 13. In grade 11, also called the introductory phase, you are part of a class. Here you will be introduced to all subject areas and if you have gaps in one or the other subject, they will be filled in here. So you are optimally prepared for grades 12 and 13 (qualification phase). For the qualification phase you choose your combination of advanced courses. From this point on, you are no longer part of a class, but are taught together with your classmates in the course system. After the qualification phase, you take your Abitur exams. Your class or course leader will help you to find the right path.
