Vocational school I

Vocational school I - BFI

Your path to professional qualification.

When will I become a BFI student? If you leave general school with a vocational qualification (secondary school leaving certificate) and do not start an apprenticeship, you will become a BFI student. That's because you're still in school. What does the BFI bring me? The BFI helps you to better assess which training is suitable for you. Because you are registering for a specific subject. At the BFI you will then receive practical and theoretical training in this field. In addition to school, you also take part in many internship days. It is then said that you have received a subject-related basic vocational training. Compared to other students who are applying for an apprenticeship, you then have the advantage of already knowing and being able to do a lot of what is required in the profession. For example, if you were in the BFI with a focus on metal technology, you have already learned a lot about metal. You then already know how to work metal and have already done it yourself in our workshops. It's the same with all the other key areas that we offer: nutrition / housekeeping health / care metal technology / car wood technology electrical engineering business / administration What comes after the BFI? If you found an apprenticeship position during the BFI, you can start it. You are then an apprentice, learn your trade in the company and attend the vocational school at the same time. We then speak of dual training. If you want to have the qualified secondary qualification I (middle school leaving certificate), you register for the BFII after the BFI. In order to be accepted into the BFII, you have to achieve certain achievements in the BFI: you need a grade of 3 or better in at least two subjects in math, German and English, your grade point average must be 3.0 or better, you will attend practical modules at the BFI , which are also graded. You can't have a 5 or 6 there. The class teachers you will have with us will help you to find the right path.
